10 places for Shibuya in Tokyo, picked by creators — with what they said.

• Chillmatic — Paolo fromTOKYO
Praised the pastrami, cooked in two stages over a week, as moist and tender enough to call it 'Tokyo's answer to Katz's Delicatessen,' and raved about the combination of the oven-baked brioche bun, aged Niigata Aganohime beef patty, and Japanese craft beer.
Heads up: Noted that it's a bit removed from central Shibuya.

Heads up: Said opening is at 11:30 but they let people in from 11, so it's best to arrive early.
• Uokin Brewing — Paolo fromTOKYO
Praised it as 'the best place for fresh fish and craft beer,' raving about the rich, clam-chowder-like croquette, the moist snow crab meat and crab paste, and the grapefruit-scented hazy IPA.
Heads up: Advised that if you're planning to have more than two drinks, the all-you-can-drink craft beer deal for 1,500 yen per hour is a better value.
• JACK IN THE DONUTS — Paolo fromTOKYO
Known for its inventive takes on doughnuts from around the world; raved that the caramel brûlée was creamy with a great balance of bitter and sweet in the crumble, and the raspberry éclair-choux was superb, with a soft croissant-like dough, custard, and tart raspberry.
Heads up: Mentioned that the caramel brûlée is very sweet overall, which may not suit everyone's taste.
• MO-MO-PARADISE Shibuya Center-gai — Paolo fromTOKYO
Said the fresh, wide-ranging buffet corner is the biggest draw, satisfying families, groups, and even vegans, and especially recommended the yakumi corner where you can make your own sauce with Asian spices. Also praised the tender meat soaked in sukiyaki broth.
